We create and manage on-line knowledge platforms. It's about knowledge that is useful, rather than masses of information that isn't relevant. As a user, it's about being just '1 click away'. As a provider of knowledge, it's about understanding the context of consumption. Above all, we focus on quality. Each platform focuses on a specific group of subjects, such as management and business strategy or pre-university private education, to serve a targeted audience with a blend of published and non-published information. Crowd-sourcingOur knowledge platforms are designed to make crowd-sourcing of ideas as easy as possible. They link into social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, to automatically widen the pool of potential contributors. The platforms indicate the publishing status of contributors (where known) and enable users to moderate who can contribute. Ideas authoringWhat use is finding knowledge if you can't work it through into articulated ideas and concepts? Each user has a space to author documents and to store information that might be useful at a later date. When users copy information into their documents, we automatically generate references, such as Harvard book references, to ensure that they know where the information has come from. We also generate smart links that users can go back to their sources or find other associated knowledge. |
Peer interactionYou can invite people to review and comment on your work, and the full history of contributions is available so that good ideas aren't lost even if they were not used at the time. Ideas testing (pre-publication review)Published authors are able to post work-in-progress for review by others. They can control who sees their work and who can comment on it, and the type of feedback offered by others. Fast searching of relevant informationSearches are contextual, and the results are categorised to enable people to understand the quality of the information presented.
